Andrew is a trained mediator accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).
With over 30 years of prior experience in private practice as a commercial litigation solicitor and latterly 10 years as the Legal Director of Resolver, the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) online platform with over 5 million registered users, 10,500 responding businesses and which has processed 7.8 million cases since its inception in 2014.
Proven Track Record
Andrew has extensive experience in a wide range of contractual, tort based and regulatory disputes including:
• Breach of Contract - between and against companies and individuals involving a broad diversity of subject matters;
• Misrepresentation and Fraud actions - brought by and against companies, institutions and individuals;
• Shareholder disputes - including a settlement of minority shareholder rights;
• Banking, private equity and other financial disputes - including a £multi-million claim by bondholders against a well known New York based bank ; claims against brokers involved in foreign exchange trading and various mis-selling cases brought by consumer groups;
• Negligence actions - including professional misconduct claims against lawyers, accountants, surveyors and other professionals;
• Intellectual property disputes concerning copyright, patents, trademarks, computer software and breaches of confidential information;
• IT and Telecommunications disputes - data breaches; software and hardware disputes including a major international dispute concerning the positioning of a communications satellite;
• Aviation - disputes between airlines, airports, aircraft leasing arrangements and claims against airlines for the provision of poor services;
• Employment - breach of contract, unfair dismissal, redundancy claims including the resolution of a £multi-million group claim by city traders against a prominent German Bank;
• Building contract disputes and disputes concerning planning and environmental issues and listed buildings.
